This summer has been hot. So I’m not going to lie, I’m kinda excited to get into Autumn layering - like a light knit over a denim skirt and tees paired with midi skirts. Taking note from the Spring trends emerging from the Northern Hemisphere, incoming looks are featuring plenty of colour - golden, warm tones, tropical prints, puff sleeves, flowers and animal prints.
I'm not hugely into animal prints, but I do like incorporating a few key pieces into my wardrobe. Case in point, a good quality leopard mini or midi, a understated windbreaker/raincoat, and accessories like scrunchies.
Incorporating gold, in both clothing and jewellery, is perfect for an elevated neutral colour palette. Think gold hair accessories, midi skirts, chunky rings and a statement clutch - so you can glitter all night long.
Another way to add some easy interest (and cover your shoulders for the cooler weather) is a puffy sleeve. Theres no need to be scared off this trend - it is surprisingly easy to incorporate into your existing style whilst adding that pop of something special. My faves include a puff crop (to pair with jeans), a dress for an easy throw on, a little black dress and a wrap blouse. Tip: If you're feeling pirate vibes, stick to black rather than white!
Also of note: most of the items I have linked are currently on sale until March 3rd on Shopbop with the code GOBIG19. Update your Autumn wardrobe and thank me later.
